1.Topic: Endangered Animals in Florida
2.Materials
a. digital photos
b. projector
c. computer
3. Motivation
a. before class TTW locate stuffed animals of the specific animals to be discussed in class, so that the children can
feel them while going over the presentation.
II. New information
1. Teacher asks if anyone knows what endangered
animals are.
2. The teacher passes out stuffed animals and
goes onto the presentation so students can see the animals while they are listening and learning about them.
III. Learning Outcomes
1.Knowledge: The student will be able to recognize
which animals are endangered in Florida
2. Comprehension: TSW identify which animals
are native to their community.
3. Synthesis: TSW be able to write a short
report on one of the endangered animals discussed in class.
IV. In Class Assignment
1.Recognize which animals are being talked about
from the ones being passed around in class
2. Pick out one animal being discussed to do
a short report on
V. Activities
1.Listen in class while feeling the animals and
passing them around
2. Take down notes from the presentation
VI. Homework
1. Write out a one page report of an animal that
you have chosen.
VII. Comments
1.Become more aware of the environment.
2. Realize what can be done in your own community.
